The Grapes of Wrath Book Cover
One of my final projects in college was creating
a book cover for John Steinbeck’s The Grapes
of Wrath. I used photography from Eastern Washington that spoke to the book’s themes of desolation and agricultural ruin. I went with Stephen Cole’s WPA Gothic for the title because
it refers to the Works Progress Administration,
a New Deal organization dedicated to helping America recover from the Great Depression.
